Glen Avon Farm

This beautiful 7th generation historic farm, situated close to Somerset East and nestling against the Boschberg mountains, offers you a tranquil getaway.

Accommodation is offered in Pecan Cottage and Garden Close.
Pecan Cottage is a fully self-catering cottage that sleeps 6 people in three bedrooms.
Garden Close sleeps 2 people and is semi self-catering.
We are on solar which means no load shedding.

Although it is a separate establishment from Stay@GlenAvonFarm, it is still on the same family farm, with the same attractions and opportunities. Stay@GlenAvonFarm offers accommodation in the 5 sleeper Hart Cottage and 2 sleeper Garden View.

Farm stay: Glen Avon is a working farm with sheep, angora goats and cattle.
Birding: with over 260 species of birds, this is a birders’ paradise. Guiding can be arranged.
Hiking: there are marked routes for both the casual walker and enthusiastic hiker.
Fly fishing: the dams are stocked with trout and bass.
Mountain biking: a variety of options on the farm roads
